First of all use the Sky remote to turn the sky box on using the ‘Sky’ button. It should have a green light on. Then use the ‘source’ button on the TV remote control to select HDMI3 at which point the Sky channels will display. We have Sky Sports and BT sports too. BBC1 is 101 and ITV 102 etc. Please do not unplug the TV or Sky box on your departure.
Look for ‘Le Buisson’ and use the password ‘mollydog’. There is a good signal throughout the property.
There is a small pedestrian gate on the left which should be open. If not just hop over the small wall! The main gates are controlled by a remote which hangs off a screw on the wall to the right of the main entrance. Press 1 and the gates will open on a timer (30 seconds or so). Press it twice just before the gates completely open and it should stay open until you press ‘one’ again. Button number 2 just puts the lights on. Please remember to hang it back up on the wall. In the event that the small pedestrian gate is locked you’ll find the key balancing precariously by the gate remote controls. Once you’ve unlocked it please leave it unlocked and return the key please.
It is now heated and very pleasant however the pool cover is a struggle to get off and on. It’s also deep at the far end so be careful when using. Usual rules. No diving etc.
If the weather is very hot there’s no need to worry about putting the cover back on at night.
You’ll find the swimming pool lights and the lights for the pathway to the pool on a temporary stick at the beginning of the path. Please make sure that the swimming pool lights are turned off before leaving the pool at night.
There are plenty of loungers and reclining chairs but some of the covers for the older wooden ones may be in the green box just behind the pool to the left as you approach the pool. They are not water proof so tend to be stored in case the weather turns rainy.
There’s a water polo net and goal in the same box plus a few other fun things.
There’s a pool hut near the pool itself on the left hand side as you approach it. It’s got a sink, plastic glasses and a fridge. You’ll find the key with a blue label on the white shelf of the dresser to the left of the main entrance. Only the top lock is locked and please remember to return the key.
Please only use the plastic glasses that you’ll find in the Pool Hut by the pool and no real glasses.
There are plenty of clear platic ‘bins’ in the back room for putting your recycling in including bottles, paper, cardboard and plastric bottles etc. There is a recycling place in Goult which is the first turning on the right opposite the 2nd car park as you head up hill towards Café de la Post. The bottle bank etc is then down the bottom of that road on the right. There is also a recycling place at the edge of Lumieres just before you join the D900.
Please do not put anything down the toilets others than toilet paper as the plumbing is very sensitive as we have a septic tank.
Please open all the shutters on arrival to have the maximum amount of light and then close up when departing.
There is a stack of cushions in the hallway that you can tie onto the iron chairs for use inside and out however please put them back inside overnight or if there is any sign of rain (hopefully not!).
It’s the height of the season so everything needs to be booked and everything takes longer so bear that in mind if you are at Le Buisson during these months.
There is a Pharmacy in Lumieres which you will pass on the way up the village of Goult. This is where the GP is based too (Cabinet Medical). The dentist is in the same building as the Post Office in Goult which is on the right hand side as you come into the village.
Pompiers is the fire brigade and in the unlikely event of an emergency I’ve been told that you can contact this hospital which has an A&E department.
Cavaillon is about a 30 minute drive and if you need an ambulance to transport someone then it’s the SAME number. Don’t forget to bring your EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) cards plus any insurance health cover you may have.
